Prisoners had oral sex while in police van- cops

Carlisa Brookins and Alexis Garcia

Carlisa Brookins and Alexis Garcia had a brief encounter they probably won't forget.
Neither will their corrections officer, who claims he saw Brookins performing oral sex on Garcia while he was transporting the couple and eight others to a Las Vegas Jail.
The male and female inmates were separated into rows and all of them had belly constraints so the officer was surprised when he saw Brookins allegedly bend over her seat to perform a sex act on Garcia, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
When the officer turned on the light, Brookins immediately sat up and made several comments claiming she was not a prostitute because she didn’t charge Garcia, according to the police report quoted by the Sun.
Garcia was a complete gentleman under the circumstances, telling Brookins, “I’ll get you off before we hit downtown," according to inmate Jessica Melaerts, who was sitting near Brookins.
Melaerts also told police she didn't want to look at the live sex show because she thought it was "gross," according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Garcia's arrest record includes several possession charges, and an arrest for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. Brookins was arrested July 28 on drug charges.
Once they were caught in the act, they were both transported back to the Clark County Detention Center and booked for voluntary sex with an inmate.

Madonna shows off diamond encrusted teeth as she attends Menton music festival in France with boyfriend Brahim Zaibat

The singer shows off her grills as she arrives at the event in southern France with Brahim Zaibat
Something to smile about: The singer shows off her grills as she arrives at the event in southern France with Brahim Zaibat

Madonna showed off her distinctive looking grills when she arrived in the south of France accompanied by boyfriend Brahim Zaibat.
The 54-year-old singer was paying a visit to Menton, a picturesque coastal town close to the French-Italian border and site of the annual Festival de Musique de Menton – a celebration of classical music with performances from a range of global artists and symphony orchestras.
But while then occasion was all about classical music, Madonna also took the opportunity to show off the distinctly urban grills she previously showcased for followers on picture messaging service Instagtram.
The bizarre fashion accessory includes 24 diamonds and an open-tooth design that shows her real teeth underneath.

Evidently delighted with her new mouthpiece, Madonna has since showing them off in a range of shots over the last few weeks, including one in which he appears to be biting down on a sword.
Dressed a little less provocatively than usual in a polka dotted black dress and white cardigan, Madonna was spotted taking in performances from concert pianist sisters Katia and Marielle Labèque and Basque band Kalakan, with whom the singer is close friends.
But while Zaibat looked bright and cheerful in a Comme des Garcons T-shirt, his famous girlfriend looked distinctly weary as they entered the venue for a night of world music.
Indeed, Madonna appeared to be ready for a good nights sleep as she ran a hand through her hair, her eyes downcast as she followed festival art director Paul Thomas Emmanuel into the event, with a grinning Zaibat bringing up the rear.

The Borderline singer added a touch of mainstream glamour to an event not generally known for attracting mainstream celebrities.
But while she was warmly greeted at the event, she’s said to be less welcome in Russia after reportedly violating the terms of her visa by claiming money for a performance in St. Petersburg last year.
According to ABC performers are not allowed to earn money in the country while visiting on a tourist visa.
Lady Gaga has been accused of breaching the same rule while performing in Moscow and St. Petersburg with her Born This Way tour in 2012, but insiders claim real the source of the controversy is their apparent promotion of gay rights while visitors.

Passing the time: Madonna and Zaibat chat to another guest as they wait for the performance to get underway

‘The Russian government is sending a shot across the bow to Lady Gaga, Madonna, and other performers who are taking up gay rights in Russia,’ Centre for the National Interest executive director Paul Saunders told ABC.
During her concert in Russia, Madonna reportedly told the audience: ‘Gay people here and all around the world have the same rights.’
The comment is understood to have incensed advocates of St. Petersburg’s anti-gay law, which prohibits people to openly talk about homosexuality around minors.
Anyone breaking the law face potential fines, deportation and – in extreme cases – imprisonment.

'Mad scientist' escaped from mental hospital after hacking his parents to death...

Hunt: Paranoid schizophrenic and convicted murderer Daniel Rosenthal, 58, has been found in Southampton this morning after going missing from a mental health hospital
Hunt: Paranoid schizophrenic and convicted murderer Daniel Rosenthal, 58, has been found in Southampton this morning after going missing from a mental health hospital
One of Britain’s most brutal murderers who hacked both his mother and father to death has been found in Southampton today after he escaped from a mental health hospital.
Paranoid schizophrenic Daniel Rosenthal, 58,  was last seen at 2.30pm yesterday taking 'a routine unsupervised walk around the gardens' of Tatchbury Mount Hospital, Totton.
His disappearance sparked a huge police manhunt with members of the public warned not to approach him.
But Hampshire Police said today that the killer was found in Southampton this morning.
A police spokesman said: 'Daniel Rosenthal was located in Southampton around 11am this morning and has returned to Tatchbury Mount Hospital.
'Police would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance with enquiries into his whereabouts.'
Rosenthal, 58, was dubbed the ‘mad scientist’ when he was jailed for life in 1981 after dismembering his mother’s body with a hacksaw.
A court heard he hacked his father to death in France and dumped his body near Paris before returning to the family home in Hampshire to kill his mother.
Rosenthal is a patient at Tatchbury Mount Hospital which is on the edge of the New Forest in Totton, near Southampton.
The hospital, run by Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, is just 15 miles from the family home in Hedge End, near Southampton, where he brutally killed his mother.
After he was found this morning, Dr Julian Lewis, Tory MP for New Forest East, questioned why Rosenthal was given the freedom of taking unsupervised walks.

He said: 'Whilst it is a relief that this man has been found, it is disturbing that someone regarded as a danger to the public - who should not be approached - was allowed to go for unsupervised walks.'
Rosenthal was locked up after Winchester Crown Court heard he hacked his father Milton to death in Paris, then hid the body in a British bin bag in a forest 100 miles from the French capital.
He then returned to England and killed his 60 year old mother, Leah Rosenthal, cutting up her body with a hacksaw at their house.

Her body was never found and police believe her remains were unwittingly carted off by dustmen. He could not be charged with the murder of his father.
Rosenthal was dubbed ‘the mad scientist’ because of weird experiments he carried out on chicken eggs and embryos in a ‘lab’ he built in the living room.
He claimed to be a ‘genius’ and would leave bloodied feathers and chicken remains - the remnants of his bizarre experiments - in bags for the dustmen.
The home in Hedge End was finally sold for £50,000 in 1994 and Rosenthal collected a sum of £16,000 despite serving a life sentence.
At the time a spokesman for the solicitors’ firm dealing with his mother’s will said they hoped he would never be able to spend the money.
She added: 'Our worst nightmare is of Daniel Rosenthal on the streets again.'

Speaking earlier today, Hampshire Police spokesman Julie Knight said today: 'We are conducting an ongoing, extensive search for Daniel Rosenthal.
'He is considered potentially dangerous and a risk to the public.
'Police are urging members of the public to report any sightings of him by calling 999 and should not approach him.
'He is a patient from Tatchbury Mount Hospital, Totton, and has been missing since around 2.30pm on August 10.

'Rosenthal, who is 58-years-old, is diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and is a convicted murderer.
'He was last seen at about 2.30pm, when he went for a routine, unsupervised walk around the gardens of the hospital.
'Police have carried out initial searches in the hospital, its grounds and the surrounding areas. Other enquiries are progressing.
'Rosenthal has been known to visit various areas of the New Forest and Southampton.'

Medical marijuana 'cures' 6-year-old California boy with rare form of epilepsy that prevented him from walking, sleeping and eating

Miracle: Before 6-year-old Jayden David started treating his epilepsy with marijuana, he couldn't even walk up stairs
Miracle: Before 6-year-old Jayden David started treating his epilepsy with marijuana, he couldn't even walk up stairs

When he was just a baby, 6-year-old Jayden David was diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy called Dravet Syndrome, which causes him to have violent seizures several times a day.
The seizures were so bad that they prevented the Modesto, California boy from walking, playing with friends and essentially living a normal life – he’s been rushed to the hospital by ambulance at least 40 times.
To combat the disease, Jayden was prescribed 12 different medications that he has to take every day. In all, the boy takes 22 pills a day.
‘At one point Jayden had seizures 24 hours a day lasting an hour and a half,’ Jayden’s father, Jason David, told KCRA. ‘I went to my doctor and said, “I don't think Jayden is going to last, he can't sleep, can't eat, he hasn't used the restroom, he can't do anything.”’
At one point, the debilitating disease got so bad for his son that Jason said he considered killing himself.

As a last resort, Jason David opted to try a liquid form of marijuana to treat Jayden’s seizures. And it worked.
‘(The) first day I gave him medical marijuana, thank God. (It was) the first day he went seizure free in his life,’ Jason David said.
Jayden's father, Jason, said he considered suicide because he was so distraught over his son's rare condition
Jayden's father, Jason, said he considered suicide because he was so distraught over his son's rare condition

The marijuana used to treat Jayden’s seizures contains a component called CBD (cannabidiol) that provides the same medical qualities as normal marijuana, but with less of a high.
Jayden has been getting a few drops of the CBD a day for the last two years, And his father says the results have been nothing short of remarkable – he plays, he can walk up and down stairs and he even gives his dad high-fives.
The pediatrician who prescribes the boy with the medical marijuana said he’s seeing a spike in children with autism and seizures benefitting from medical marijuana. In many cases, it works when other medications fail.

Prescription pot: Jayden's pediatrician says he's seeing a spike in parents opting to treat epileptic or autistic children with marijuana

Jason says he wants to share his story to encourage other parents in similar situations to do what they think is best for their children – even if that means using medical marijuana.
Jayden’s paediatrician admits that there haven’t been many studies conducted to determine the medicinal benefits of marijuana, which is why doctors have differing opinions about whether it should be used to treat certain diseases.
Currently, however, researchers at the University of California-San Francisco currently are studying the affects CBD has on epileptic children.
Jayden and his father will be featured in a CNN special by Dr. Sanjay Gupta that examines the benefits of medical marijuana. Gupta wrote a column earlier this week saying that after doing research for the special, he now supports using medical marijuana to treat various illnesses. He previously opposed medical marijuana.
The special is set to air Sunday.

Man shoots wife to death, then posts picture of her corpse on his Facebook page

Turbulent relationship: According to Medina's father, Derek and his wife got a divorce after three years of marriage, but then tied the knot again

A Florida man has been arrested in connection to his wife's murder after posting a graphic photo on his Facebook page showing a blood-spattered woman slumped on the floor.
In a message that appeared on his personal Facebook account Thursday morning, 31-year-old Derek Medina, of Miami, allegedly admitted to the murder of his wife, 26-year-old Jennifer Alfonso.
'Im going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife love you guys miss you guys takecare Facebook people you will see me in the news,' he wrote. 'My wife was punching me and I am not going to stand anymore with the abuse so I did what I did I hope u understand me.'

Armed and dangerous: Derek Medina, seen in photo on the left posing with a gun, told police that he shot his wife dead during a fight

Medina supplemented the photo apparently showing his murdered spouse lying in the kitchen with blood covering her face and left arm with the comment: 'Rip Jennifer Alfonso.'
MailOnline chose to obscure the image due to its extremely graphic and disturbing nature.
Medina's post and shocking photo of his murdered wife remained on Facebook for five hours before his profile was taken down just before 5pm Thursday.

Miami Herald reported that Thursday afternoon, Mr Medina walked into a police station and turned himself in, confessing that he had shot his wife following a domestic dispute, according to investigators.

Officers who were dispatched to the couple's home at 5555 SW 67th Avenue discovered Jennifer Alfonso' body.
A 10-year-old girl was led out of the residence wrapped in a red blanket. The child is believed to have been present during the shooting, but was not harmed.
The woman in the picture is bent over backwards at the knees wearing black leotards with her head in the corner of what appears to be a kitchen.
The unsettling post left several of Medina's friends puzzled, asking him what happened.

Father's agony: Medina's father, Derek Medina Sr, said that his son came to him and admitted to killing his wife because she allegedly threatened him with a knife

Kayla Amando Pabon wrote about the woman in the grisly image: 'That is my friend there.'
On his Facebook page, Medina listed his occupation as actor on the USA Network show Burn Notice, but it appears that the 31-year-old was at one point an extra in the series, the Broward-Palm Beach New Times found.
Medina's Facebook profile was taken down just before 5pm Thursday.
In an interview with the local station WSVN, Medina's father, Derek Medina Sr., said that his son came to him at around 11am Thursday and admitted to shooting his wife.

‘He just said that his wife picked up a knife on him, and they had a big fight, and he shot her,’ said the father.
The elder Medina drove his son to a South Miami police station, where the 31-year-old turned himself in.
Derek Medina Sr said that girl who was removed from the apartment wrapped in a blanket is Alfonso’s daughter from a previous relationship.
According to the father, his son had a rocky relationship with Alfonso. He said that the two got a divorce after being married for three years, but tied the knot again last year.

Alfonso listed her occupation as a server at Denny's. Records show that she married Medina in April 2012.
The woman was last active on Facebook Wednesday, some 15 hours before the image of her body appeared on her husband's page. At the time, Alfonso changed her profile picture to a photo of her kissing Medina.
Miami New Times reported that Medina has published a number of self-help e-books, among them one titled: 'How I Saved Someone's Life and Marriage and Family Problems Thru Communication.'

His works, mostly bearing odd and lengthy titles, are available through the site e-junkie priced between $999 and $11.99. At least one is out in paperback selling for $19.99.
His latest offering is 'World Just Ask Yourself Why We Are Living a Life Full of Lies and How I an Emotional Writer Made All of My Professional Dreams Come True Blocking Society's Teachings.'
In a summary of one book, Medina claims he can hunt ghosts and at one time saved his wife from a poltergeist attack while they were in New York.

Elsewhere in his writings, Medina talked about his experiences with aliens and lamented that humans are not working on a time travel machine needed for an 'evacuation plan.'
Medina's YouTube account features a video of him as an extra on the show 'Burn Notice.' The page also has a clip of a man kicking a punching bag in a gym.

Criticisms trail Britain's offer of 1 billion pounds aid to Nigeria for space technology advancement

Space race: A Nigerian engineer at work on one of the country's satellites developed in a British laboratory
Space race: A Nigerian engineer at work on one of the country's satellites developed in a British laboratory

Nigeria is spending millions to put a man into space – as Britain hands it more than £1billion in foreign aid.
The oil-rich country, which has accepted £300million this year alone, has set in train ambitious plans to launch its own rockets.
And the first Nigerian astronauts are being trained to join Russian, Chinese or American missions within the next two years.

Last night critics asked why Britain was, in effect, subsidizing a space programme for a nation where 70 per cent of people live below the poverty line.

This latest controversy came just two days after Ukip MEP Godfrey Bloom ignited a fierce debate by saying it was folly to give billions in aid to ‘Bongo Bongo land’.
Big spending: Nigeria has already launched these surveillance rockets from Russia as part of its plans to join the space race
Big spending: Nigeria has already launched these surveillance rockets from Russia as part of its plans to join the space race

Yesterday David Cameron said the remarks were offensive and accused Mr Bloom of being guilty of a ‘stop the world I want to get off’ approach to foreign aid.
The £1.14billion Nigeria will receive over the five years of the Coalition is double the £500million set aside to prop up struggling accident and emergency departments at our own hospitals.
Backbench Tory MP Philip Davies said it was ‘totally unjustifiable and unaffordable’ for Britain to give this money to Nigeria, given the scale of its ‘grandiose’ space programme.
‘We cannot go around the world saying “don’t worry, we will feed your public for you while you waste your money on all sorts of other projects”,’ he said.
‘We have got to say to these countries “you have got to spend that money on your people where it’s most needed not on some grandiose space programme”. We are against welfare dependency at home but at the same time we are encouraging welfare dependency abroad.’
The row surrounding Mr Bloom flared when he insisted that sending aid to Africa was tantamount to treason.
He added: ‘How we can possibly be giving a billion pounds a month, when we’re in this sort of debt, to Bongo Bongo land is completely beyond me.’
He claimed foreign leaders frittered the money away on ‘Ray-Ban sunglasses, apartments in Paris and Ferraris’.
Poverty: Millions of Nigerians are living in poverty, despite the country earning huge profits from its oil deposits

Resources: Nigeria generates millions in oil revenue every year but much of the population lives in poverty
Resources: Nigeria generates millions in oil revenue every year but much of the population lives in poverty

He was widely criticised for using the term ‘Bongo Bongo land’ but many commentators believe he was right about the building resentment over spiralling foreign aid.
The Department for International Development’s budget is rising by 35 per cent in real terms by 2015. But while aid costs are ballooning, spending on the military, the police, border control and care homes is being slashed.
Britain is also spending about £280million a year on aid to India, another country with its own space programme. Despite Nigeria having the second-highest national income of all African countries, most of its people still live in poverty. It is also mired in corruption. The most modest estimates suggest between £2.5 and £5billion is stolen from the state’s coffers every year by corrupt officials and politicians.
Debate: UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom has reignited the issue of Britain's foreign aid contributions with his infamous 'bongo bongo land' comments
Debate: UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom has reignited the issue of Britain's foreign aid contributions with his infamous 'bongo bongo land' comments
Jonathan Isaby from the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: ‘When budgets are tight both for families and the Government alike, people cannot understand why ministers are sending more and more of our hard-earned cash overseas.
‘Taxpayers find it especially unacceptable when their money is sent abroad as aid to developing countries which then somehow find sufficient cash to fund the likes of a space programme.
‘It is totally unacceptable that British taxpayers’ money is effectively subsidising Nigeria’s efforts to send an astronaut into space.’
Nigeria’s space programme started in 2003 but its first satellite lost power and disappeared from orbit.
It now has three in space, NigComSat-1R, NigeriaSat-2 and Nigeria-Sat X, the first to be constructed by Nigerian engineers.
Although it has bought its own satellites and launched on Russian rockets, Nigeria has built laboratories which it hopes will produce its own space craft by 2028.
The National Space Research and Development Agency confirmed Nigerian astronauts should be trained and ready for space travel within two years.
In July this year, NASRDA’s director general, Professor Seidu Onailo Mohammed, declared: ‘By our road map we are supposed to have astronauts prepared by 2015. Before the end of the year, the recruitment of astronauts will begin so that we have them handy and as soon as we get the nod we can pick from that number.’
The Nigerian government has not released detailed figures on how much it is spending on its space programme, but it is thought to be hundreds of millions of pounds a year. British aid to Nigeria will increase by 116 per cent under the Coalition government, from £141million in 2010/11 to £305million in 2014/15. It amounts to a total of £1.14billion over five years.

Response: The Prime Minister David Cameron said Mr Bloom's remarks showed a 'stop the world I want to get off' approach to foreign aid
Response: The Prime Minister David Cameron said Mr Bloom's remarks showed a 'stop the world I want to get off' approach to foreign aid

The country has also been criticised for failing to crack down on corruption. The only senior figure from Nigeria to have been prosecuted over corruption in recent years was jailed by a British court.
James Ibori, the former governor of the country’s oil-rich Delta state, was sentenced to 13 years for money laundering, forgery and fraud totalling nearly £50million. He used the money to live a lavish lifestyle, buying a house in London worth £2.25million and luxury cars worth over £650,000.
Last night a spokesman for the Department for International Development said spending aid money in Nigeria would help cut crime and illegal immigration in Britain.
‘No UK aid money goes through the Nigerian government,’ she said. ‘Our investment goes into specific health, education and poverty reduction programmes. Nigeria is home to a quarter of the poorest people in Africa, and supporting their development will benefit our own trade and security.’

Landlord sets six youths ablaze for smoking hemp on his premises

            Seteolu, Sodeinde and the house

The Ogun State Police Command in Nigeria have arrested a middle-aged man, Mukaila Adebesin, for allegedly setting ablaze six people in Ita Balogun Compund, Ago-Oko, Abeokuta.
The victims are Adesanya, 20, Sulaiman Adebesin, 20, Saburi Seteolu 18, Raheem Bello 19, Azeez Alabi 20, and Kola Sodeinde 19.
It was gathered that the victims were allegedly set ablaze by Adebesin at 7pm because they were gambling and smoking Indian hemp on his premises.
A witness, who pleaded anonymity, said Adebesin, a commercial bus driver, had  just returned from an outing when he saw the six youths in his compound.
He said, “Their activities made the driver engage them in an argument. As the talks became heated, Adebesin reached for a can of petrol which he emptied on them.
“The victims attempted to flee when it dawned on them that the liquid poured on them was petrol.
“But  they caught fire from a stick of the Indian hemp being smoked by one of them. They suffered high degree burns due to the incident.”
Adebesin, who is currently being detained at Oke-Itoku Police Station, was said to have turned himself in to the police immediately after the incident .
Our correspondent gathered that other youths in the area, on learning of the development,  stormed Adebesin’s compound, and vandalised his apartment and injured his wife who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Abeokuta.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said that investigations had already commenced into the matter.
Adejobi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said, “Adebesin might be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations. He said four of the youths had been admitted at the General Hospital, Ijaiye, while two others were taken to a private clinic for treatment.
“Information available to us is that the suspect had an argument with the youths before he poured PMS on them. For now, we cannot ascertain other circumstances that led to the incident but we have the suspect in our custody.”
The police spokesman added that the command’s commissioner, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye, also warned youths in the area not to engage in any reprisals, saying the police would not condone any act that could disrupt peace inthe state.

Anti-Islam film maker, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, released from prison

            Nakoula Basseley Nakoula

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, the man allegedly behind the inflammatory film "Innocence of Muslims," has been granted supervised release from a federal prison, according to the U.S. Justice Department.
Bureau of Prisons records show the 56-year-old Nakoula is at an undisclosed halfway house in Southern California.
He technically remains in federal custody, but the tentative release means he can leave the facility for a few hours a day. Until recently, he had been held behind bars at a correctional institution in Anthony, Texas.
Nakoula is due to be formally freed next month, according to records.
He had been incarcerated since September 2012 for a probation violation related to a 2010 bank fraud conviction. None of the charges was connected with the content of the controversial film, Innocence of Muslims

Nakoula came to the world's attention after his movie, a trailer of which had been posted to YouTube, was highlighted last September by Egyptian media.
Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was sentenced by a judge in California after admitting four violations which stem from a 2010 conviction for fraud. After the 2010 conviction, Nakoula had served most of a 21-month jail sentence for using more than a dozen aliases and opening about 60 bank accounts to conduct a cheque fraud scheme, prosecutors said.

The Los Angeles Times said that it was while he was in prison that he read the Koran, looking for ways to criticise Islam.

Dozens of people died in the Middle East in protests over the film.
A government minister in Pakistan, Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, had offered $100,000 reward to anyone who will murder the maker of the 'Innocence of Muhammad' film, which has sparked riots and violence across the Muslim world.
The minister belongs to the secular Awami National Party, an ally in the government of President Asif Ali Zardari. The ANP is also the ruling party in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice said in television appearances that the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the Benghazi diplomatic compound was the result of a spontaneous demonstration over the film, which was produced in the United States. Her assertions later proved untrue.
