Paul Rosolie nearly killed by 20ft anaconda during TV stunt tagged ' Eaten Alive'

Trapped in the snake's grip: In footage aired on the Discovery Channel on Sunday night, the 27-year-old and his 10-strong team tracked down the 18-and-a-half-stone snake, before letting it pounce and 'eat him'
An American naturalist filmed himself being 'eaten alive' by a snake for a TV stunt - but is now facing ridicule for getting his safety team to save him after just part of his head was consumed.
In footage aired on the Discovery Channel on Sunday night - it airs on UK TV on Friday - 27-year-old Paul Rosolie and his 10-strong team tracked down the 20ft-long, 18st anaconda to the headwaters of the Amazon river.
Donning a black armored suit, slathered in pig blood, Mr Rosolie then moved tentatively 'on all fours' toward the enormous beast as the cameras rolled and his wife, Gowri, watched.
Seconds later, the female anaconda - one of the world's most fearsome creatures - pounced on its 5ft 9ins victim, latching on to his head, before constricting his arms and body. However, as Mr Rosolie felt his arm 'start to break' under the snake's grip, he ordered his team of fellow naturalists, doctors and vets to save him - with just the top of his head in the animal's jaws.
Within minutes of the show, named 'Eaten Alive', being broadcast, people across America were taking to social networking sites to express their disappointment at the highly anticipated footage.
Twitter user Josh Harris, from Boston , wrote: 'They should rename #EatenAlive alive to look for snakes for 1.5 hours and then Try to be eaten alive but only get a scratch on my arm.'Meanwhile, Connor McCarthy, from Pennsylvania, tweeted: 'I hope Paul is happy despite letting an entire nation down. I can't believe he can show his face on tv right now. What a wuss #EatenAlive.'
And Stacey Taylor, from Ontario, Canada, said: '#EatenAlive complete waste of my time you didn't even get eaten alive you cant call a show eaten alive and not get eaten by your anaconda!'
Barstool Trent, from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, posted a picture of his dog chewing his finger and quipped 'hey, Discovery, can I have my own show?'
The footage, which had been plugged on TV and online for months, was aired despite protests from conservationists on both sides of the Atlantic, many of whom deemed the stunt 'cruel'.

Criticism: Paul Rosolie, 27, is facing ridicule after filming himself being 'eaten alive' by a 20ft-long anaconda - only to get his safety team to save him after just part of his head (pictured) was consumed

In response to the complaints, Mr Rosolie has claimed that he carried out the risky move in a bid to raise money to save the snake's habitat in South America - and that the animal was not harmed.
'I wanted to do something to grab people’s attention to the plight of the disappearing rainforests, something completely crazy,' he said earlier this month. ‘Everything else has been tried.’
During the documentary, aired at 9pm in the US, Mr Rosolie also explained how he had tracked down that particular snake after surviving being seized and dragged into deep water by it in 2008.
Since the incident, he had been 'obsessed' with capturing the beast, he said.
Before the stunt last spring, Mr Rosolie and his team of naturalists spent 60 days struggling up to the headwaters of the world’s largest river, battling electric eels, floods and poachers.
While looking for the anaconda, they also started the first scientific study of anacondas in the wild, taking down the weight, length and sex of ones they encountered, the New York Post reported.
In addition to these measurements, they took samples of the creatures' skin to test for mercury, a by-product of the gold-mining industry which is encroaching on their habitat.
Finally, the team came across the green anaconda in the dense foliage of the Peruvian Amazon - an animal they knew would be big enough to swallow Mr Rosolie whole.
'An anaconda can stretch to three times its own girth, so a 20ft snake would easily encompass my shoulders,' said the naturalist, adding: 'If this snake's hungry, she might actually eat me'.
In the documentary, Mr Rosolie, who described the snake's power as akin to 'a team of horses', was filmed suiting up before crawling 'on all fours', pretending to be a wild boar, toward the snake.
In order to avoid being crushed, he was forced to wear a lightweight, strong carbon-fibre suit that fitted his frame closely. It was created by a team of engineers using 3D technology.
The suit was also streamlined so he would be less likely to damage the snake’s insides, and - crucially for Mr Rosolie - so its material would resist the anaconda’s digestive fluids.
The outfit was equipped with built-in cameras and a radio mic so Mr Rosalie could communicate with his watching team, while the naturalist was given a capsule transmitting his vital signs.
'They knew I’m the type who’ll say, "I’m fine, I’m fine"... until I’m dead,' Mr Rosolie, a New Jersey native who first visited the Amazon at the age of 18, said.
'We had to make sure I didn’t get crushed, but the suit took care of that. But if I was eaten, we were worried what would happen to my breathing system because I could have suffocated very quickly.'
Mr Rosolie's suit also comprised a face mask connected to a crush-proof hose that trailed behind him, leading to an three-hour oxygen supply.
After suiting up, Mr Rosolie was filmed approaching the giant anaconda. Within seconds, it had risen up and struck him in the face, before grabbing his arm and coiling itself around his body.
'I'm getting coils over me,' the naturalist could be heard saying as his helmet camera captured the inside of the snake's jaws. 'She's got my arms pinned. She knows there's nothing I can do.'
He then exclaimed: 'Oh god,' prompting his concerned wife to ask: 'Paul, are you ok?' Several tense seconds later, Mr Rosolie replied: 'I'm ok', yet his heart rate had noticeably increased.
'Paul, your heart rate is getting pretty high and your breathing is really labored,' one of the team members could be heard telling him. He replied: 'I'm trying to stay calm.'
Footage shows the beast wrapped around the entirety of Mr Rosolie's body as he wriggled on the floor of the rainforest. His team asked whether he could breathe, but he did not reply.
A few seconds later, he told his worried friends: 'Stand by guys, I'm starting to feel like she's consuming me.' The snake then opened its mouth and latched on to Mr Rosolie's head.
Mr Rosolie exclaimed: 'Guys, my face is down,' before shouting: 'I'm calling it, I need help!' as he feels his arm starting to break under the anaconda's grip.
As commanded, the naturalist's team rushed over and wrestled the snake off his body. They later released the animal into the wild  and took measurements of its strength from Mr Rosolie's suit.
But because the snake was positioned 'high on the armor', they were unable to 'get a solid reading'
Speaking of the moment he was 'eaten alive' after the event, Mr Rosalie said: 'The last thing I remember was her mouth open wide and everything went black.'
He added: 'I went limp and let it constrict. All the while I was just thinking: “Eat, eat, eat!" She wrapped around me and I felt my suit cracking and my arms ripping out of their sockets.'
He also revealed that the snake was actually constricting him for an hour before he was rescued.
Mr Rosolie's bid to be eaten - and rescued before perishing - took filmmakers two years to prepare.

However, over the past few months, the stunt has attracted criticism from campaigners globally.Their main task was to ensure that the naturalist - who has written the well-received book Mother of God - did not end up like the snake’s usual meals: crushed until he was asphyxiated.
The campaign group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) judged from early reports of the experiment that the snake was ‘tormented and suffered for the sake of ratings’.
The anaconda would have expended valuable energy in swallowing Mr Rosolie and then regurgitating him, it argued.
However, Mr Rosalie said on the Discovery Channel's website: 'I would not have done this if there were any real chance of hurting or stressing out the snake.'
He added: 'I’ve seen first-hand how the Amazon Rainforest is being destroyed. It is so rampant that we may be the last generation with the opportunity to save it.

the naturalist's wife, Gowri

'People need to wake up to what is going on. What better way is there to shock people than to put my life on the line with the largest snake on the planet, the Green Anaconda?'
Anacondas will bite their prey, such as wild pigs, with teeth that curve backwards - preventing the animal from breaking away. Their power is awe-inspiring, Mr Rosolie said.
Then they will pull their prey - any creature that they can subdue and swallow - into water if they can, wrapping it in coils that crush its bones to make swallowing it easier.
During the documentary, Dr Patrick Krugg explained how the snakes 'real killing forces comes when they start to wrap their coils around their prey'. They swallow their prey headfirst, he said.
Another expert explained how anacondas can open their mouths to almost 180 degrees.
Although anacondas are in fact shy creatures, they can be deadly when roused. Reaching up to 30ft in length, they live in or around water and are far thicker than the pythons of Africa and Asia.
They are not venomous but boast powerful jaws attached by elastic ligaments.

Worried: 'Paul, your heart rate is getting pretty high and your breathing is really labored,' one of the team members told Mr Rosolie during the stunt. Above, the naturalist's friends are pictured looking in concern

Woman bags 7yrs in jail for having sex with her two yr-old son and recording it on video

25-year-old Jessica Bell was sentenced Tuesday to seven years in prison for possession of child pornography — videos she made of herself engaging in sexual conduct with her toddler son.
Jessica Bell
A twenty-five year-old mother, Jessica Bell, was sentenced Tuesday to seven years in prison for making pornographic videos starring her having sexual relations with her toddler son.
The boy was about 2 years old when the videos were made, prosecutors said. Some involved sex toys and others involved the toddler performing sex acts on the mother, according to the Journal Times. He is now 4 and living with relatives in another state.
"This behavior is contrary to the laws of nature," said Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Stephanie Rothstein as she announced the woman's punishment earlier this week, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
Bell also was ordered to have no contact of any kind with the child or those caring for him. She will remain on the state's sex offender registry for life.
She was arrested in 2013 after her boyfriend found hundreds of emails between Bell and her half-brother, Justin Surber.
The relative is not seen in the porn videos, but he has been charged with incest for having a sexual relationship with Bell.
Defense attorney Mary Scholle said her client never posted the footage online and shared it only with Surber.
Bell cried throughout the sentencing hearing. "I want to tell my baby how sorry I am," she told the court.

Son intentionally shot mother with bow and arrow, says Florida Police

Michael Watkins

A Florida man told police he shot his mother with a gun and a bow-and-arrow and then stabbed her Sunday because he claimed she "stole his diamonds and also gave his father cancer," authorities said.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office received a call at 2:48 a.m. Sunday reporting a man knocking over Christmas decorations and yelling at another person. When deputies arrived, they found 65-year-old Gloria Watkins slumped forward in a chair with arrows protruding from her head.
Her son, Michael Watkins, 42, admitted to the killing, according to an arrest report.
"You see that, that's death," Watkins said as he pointed to his mother, according to the report.
Watkins claimed his mother "stole his diamonds and also gave his father cancer" and that "he had to kill her because she was trying to kill him," the report said. The report did not say why or how she was trying to kill him.
Watkins was charged with murder and resisting arrest without violence. The sheriff's office said Watkins ignored repeated commands to get on the ground. After eventually complying, he stood up and retrieved a large knife from a sheath on his belt, authorities said.
Deputies used stun guns on Watkins twice.
An autopsy was to be conducted on the victim. It's not clear if Watkins has an attorney. Officials with the jail and the sheriff's office could not be reached.

Over five thousand buffalo lie slaughtered in Nepal at the beginning of Hindu ceremony which brings worshippers good luck

Religious killing: A butcher gets ready to kill a buffalo during a mass slaughter of the animals for the Gadhimai festival inside a walled enclosure in the village of Bariyapur, near the temple of Gadhimai, the goddess of power
A butcher gets ready to kill a buffalo during a mass slaughter of the animals for the Gadhimai festival inside a walled enclosure in the village of Bariyapur, near the temple of Gadhimai, the goddess of power

More than 250,000 animals are being lined up for slaughter as Nepal embarks on a two-day religious festival where buffalo, birds and goats are sacrificed to appease a Hindu goddess.
Millions of Hindus flock to the ceremony, which is held every five years at the temple of Gadhimai, the goddess of power, in Bariyarpur, Nepal, near the Indian border.
The last time the festival was held, in 2009, more than 250,000 animals were killed, according to animal rights organisation PETA, who is campaigning to put a stop to the practice.
The festival is 'kicked off' with the ritual slaughter of five thousand buffalo in a field near the temple, after which two days of ritual animal slaughter takes place.
Animal rights activists such as PETA are campaigning to halt the mass animal-slaughter, but despite their efforts, the organisers of the festival has promised that this year will be the biggest yet.

About 2.5 million devotees  have turned out for the festival, according to local government official Yogendra Prasad Dulal, who said it was 'impossible to estimate' the total number of animals sacrificed so far.
'It has been a grand day,' Mangal Chaudhary, head priest at a the Gadhimai temple said. 'The buffalo sacrifice has ended, but we will continue the rituals with goats and other animals for one more day,'
On the first day, worshippers slaughtered more than 6,000 buffaloes, which were coralled into holding pens in the fields, along with at least 100,000 goats and other animals, Chaudhary said.
The festivities will continue on Saturday when at least another 100,000 animals will die in the name of goddess Gadhimai.

More than 80 percent of Nepal's 27 million people are Hindus, but unlike most of their counterparts in neighbouring India, they frequently sacrifice animals to appease deities during festivals.
Authorities deployed hundreds of police personnel to make sure there were no clashes between activists and the devotees.
'It is a ritual connected with people's faith,' said Yogendra Dulal, an assistant administrator of the Bara district, where the temple is located. 'We can't hurt their sentiments and ban the practice.'
Worshippers believe the animal sacrifice, meant to appease Gadhimai, the Hindu goddess of power, brings them luck and prosperity.
The ritual began at dawn with a ceremonial 'pancha bali' or the sacrifice of five animals, comprising a rat, a goat, a rooster, a pig and a pigeon.

About 6,000 buffaloes were held in an open-air pen prior to being beheaded by butchers using swords and large curved knives. Thousands of goats and chickens will also be sacrificed before the festival ends on Saturday, temple officials said.
The heads of the sacrificed animals will be buried in a huge pit while the animal hides and skin will be sold to traders who have contracted to buy them.
'It is not proper to kill animals in the name of religion,' Uttam Kafle, of rights group Animal Nepal, told Reuters by telephone from the site.
'We are trying to convince the people that they can worship at the shrine peacefully and without being cruel to animals.'
India's Supreme Court recently asked the government to stop the illegal movement of animals into Nepal for the ceremony.

2 FBI agents shot during protests over the killing of Michael Brown

From L-R, Darren Wilson and Michael Brown

Two FBI agents have been shot in St. Louis, near riot-ravaged Ferguson, after attending a siege at someone's home. The shootings which occurred at 3.15am today may not be unconnected to the protests happening a few miles away
Tuesday night saw dozens more protestors arrested as violence continued to rage in the city over the grand jury decision not to indict officer Darren Wilson.
The 28-year-old officer spoke with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos at a secret location less than 24 hours after the decision was announced, and walked the Good Morning America co-anchor through each step of the confrontation which culminated in Wilson firing his gun for the first time in his law enforcement career, killing an unarmed Brown.
Wilson says he was driving to get lunch that day when he came across Brown and his friend Johnson walking down the middle of a street in Ferguson, and that he pulled up next to them and asked them to move to the sidewalk.
He says the two ignored his request and it was then that he noticed Brown carrying a handful of cigarillos - the same items stolen in a convenience store robbery he heard reported over the his police radio earlier.
Wilson says he ‘probably never would have noticed the cigarillos’ if Brown ‘had just followed orders’. Wilson says he would have left the two alone, and driven off in search of food as he was doing before.
Instead, Wilson says Brown was defensive from the start of their conversation, saying ‘f*** what you have to say’ when the officer asked him to move off the street.
Noticing the cigarillos in Brown’s hand, and how Johnson’s clothing matched the description in the robbery report, Wilson called for back-up and then pulled his car out in front of the pair to block their path.
Wilson says he planned to get out of the SUV and talk to the pair until back-up arrived, but that Brown slammed his driver’s door shut when he attempted to exit the vehicle, saying ‘what the f*** are you going to do about it?’
The officer then tried to push out the door to free himself from the vehicle, but says Brown kept pushing the door shut and eventually reached his hands into the vehicle to throw the first punch.
For the next 10 seconds, Wilson and Brown were engaged in a fist fight and the cop says it was then that he ‘felt the immense power’ 6-foot-4, 292-pound Brown had. Wilson is the same height and 210 pounds. Wilson has repeatedly used the analogy that he felt like a five-year-old grappling with Hulk Hogan.
He was a very large, a very powerful man,’ Wilson recalled.
Afraid that the next blow could render him unconscious, Wilson says his training kicked in and overrode his actions. He says he immediately ruled out mace, saying it could have been used to disable Brown but that Brown could have grabbed it and used it against him as well.
‘The only option left was my firearm,’ Wilson said.
But when Wilson reached for the handgun on his hip, he claims Brown reached for the weapon and tried to turn it around to shoot the officer.
Wilson was eventually able to wiggle the weapon free and turn it towards Brown, warning: ‘Get back or I’m going to shoot you’.
‘You’re too much of a p**** to shoot me,’ Wilson recalls Brown replying.
Brown continued to struggle for the gun, and it jammed the first two times that Wilson tried to pull the trigger. He was successful on the third try, firing the first shot at Brown from inside his vehicle. It was the first time Wilson ever fired his gun in his five-year career as a police officer, he revealed.

Shooting scene: Brown is pictured lying on the ground after being shot dead by Wilson on August 9 this year
He says that first shot startled both himself and Brown, who backed up a few inches.
‘We were both in shock. It was shocking having to pull the trigger. It was also shocking that this was the only option that I had,’ Wilson said.
But he says the shot didn’t stop Brown, and that he actually became ‘even angrier’ coming back at the officer again.
Wilson responded by firing more shots, that sent Brown running away from the vehicle,
He says he then called for back up again, saying shots had been fired. That was a call that none of his fellow-officers received. WIlson claims it’s because the radio had been turned from channel 1 to 3 in the midst of the struggle with Brown.
Wilson says he then gave chase to Brown, saying it’s not his job to ‘sit and wait’ and he needed to keep the teen in sight for when back-up arrived.
That’s when Brown turned around and starting coming back towards the officer. Wilson says he also saw the teen reach towards his waistband, and feared Brown may be concealing a weapon - though some witness accounts, including Johnson, said Brown was lifting his hands in surrender.
‘My initial thought was, is there a weapon in there?’ Wilson said.

As the teen started ‘charging’ towards him, Wilson said he feared for his life and thought: ‘Can I shoot this guy? Legally can I? And the answer was I have to, he will kill me if he gets to me.’
He fired a series a shots, and believes at least one of the bullets hit the teen. He says he then ordered Brown to stop and get on the ground, but that the teen kept running.
Wilson fired a second series of shots and again ordered Brown to get on the ground and said the teen seemed ‘unfazed’.
When Brown was just 15 feet away, Wilson started ‘backpedaling’ afraid that Brown would lean forward and tackle him and that’s when he fired the fatal shots into the teen's head.
‘I saw the face he had go black,’ Wilson recalled.
As Brown fell to the ground, Wilson says he landed on his face and that his feet were thrown up into their air because of the speed he was running at.
‘I knew immediately that he had passed,’ Wilson said.
However, Wilson says he could not have done anything differently to have prevented Brown’s death.

He also denies witness allegations that he appeared to have snapped during the altercation saying ‘the only emotion I ever felt was fear and then it was survival and training’.
Wilson is also adamant that race did not play a role in his actions that day, and that he would have ‘no question’ shot Brown if he were white, given the same circumstances.
While Wilson believes he performed his job correctly, he says there is always remorse involved in the loss of a life and he expressed his sympathies to Brown’s family.
‘I’m sorry that their son lost his life. It wasn’t the intention of the day. It was what occurred that day and there's nothing you can say that’s going to make a parent feel better,’ he said

Atlanta Fire Chief suspended for condemning homosexuality

Kelvin Cochran

Atlanta's fire chief has been suspended after city officials say he violated policy by self-publishing a book that describes homosexuality as a "perversion."
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed says in a statement Monday that Kelvin Cochran will be suspended for a month without pay and will be required to complete sensitivity training.
Reed says he was "deeply disturbed" after learning about the book on Friday and will not tolerate discrimination within his administration.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the book titled "Who Told You That You Are Naked?" identifies Cochran as a devout Christian and as the city's fire chief (http:// bit.ly/1y6v1mf). City council member Alex Wan, who is openly gay, says Reed should investigate whether Cochran's views have affected LGBT employees.
Reed's office says Cochran was not made available for comment.

Husband shoots self in the face while threatening to kill wife's dog

A Florida man is dead after accidentally shooting himself in the face while allegedly threatening to shoot a dog, according to reports.
Police say Dennis Eugene Emery, 57, was declared dead at the scene after the incident early Tuesday in Pinellas Park, which is near St. Petersburg.
"He was involved in a domestic disturbance with his wife," Sgt. Adam Geissenberger of the Pinellas Park Police Dept. told Fox 13. "During that disturbance he retrieves a firearm, he produces the firearm, and he threatens to shoot one of the family's animals."
Neighbors told the station that Emery's wife had 13 dogs, and the barking was a source of tension between the two of them.
While allegedly threatening to shoot the dog, Emery pulled the hammer back on his revolver. When trying to release the hammer, however, the gun went off, according to the St. Petersburg Tribune.
"It's a shame. It's a damn shame," neighbor Dallas Collins told Fox 13. "I never figured him to be irresponsible with a handgun."
The Tampa Bay Times said Emery had convictions for drunken driving in 1977, carrying a concealed weapon in 1978, disorderly conduct and public intoxication in 1983. The paper said he had 34 contacts with Pinellas Park police since 2012.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office lists four arrests in the past five months. In July, he was arrested on domestic battery charges. And last month, he had three arrests: leaving the scene of a crash, domestic battery, and one arrest for aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

On reviewing the footage, he discovered the shocking abuse that has been meted on his young and defenseless child. Enraged by what he saw, he went on to beat the woman from hell babysitter to a pulp and turned to tend to his assaulted child.
Tumuhiirwe then ran to the police where she made an assault case against his boss (Kamanzi) for beating her.
Kamanzi was then arrested by the cops and the father confessed to committing the crime he was arrested for. He then asked the police to take a look at the video and see why he had to beat the babysitter the way he did. On seeing the footage, Kamanzi was released and Tumuhiirwe was arrested and charged yesterday under Anti-torture Act at Nakawa Court.

Single women banned from entering restaurants in Saudi Arabia

Single women have been banned from some restaurants in Saudi Arabia for 'mentally unstable' behaviour such as flirting, smoking and using mobile phones (file picture)

Restaurants in Saudi Arabia have banned single women from entering because of their 'mentally unstable' behaviour such as using flirting, smoking and using mobile phones.
Several restaurants have put up signs that say 'women are not allowed' in another blow for women's rights in the conservative Muslim kingdom.
There is no law banning women from travelling alone in Saudi Arabia but deeply-held religious beliefs dictate that they should be accompanied by a male family member when out in public.
According to The Week, one restaurant owner said: 'We put up these signs because we have seen numerous incidents of flirting taking place inside the restaurant.
'We'll only remove these signs when we make sure such incidents never happen again on our premises because such type of behaviour negatively impacts our business.'
Bloggers in the Middle Eastern state also described women who smoke and use mobile phones as 'mentally unstable'.
One wrote: 'The best thing is to keep women away from restaurants unless they have a male custodian.
'That way the restaurant is not shut down because of the misbehaviour of an adolescent or mentally unstable woman.'
The blogger added that one woman crossed the line when she came in alone and 'focused on her mobile'.
Another online post said some women visiting restaurants had no respect.
A man called Talal said: 'My brother has a restaurant and he says that even though there is a section for families, there are often instances of embarrassment.
'Several women would come in and would speak loudly without any respect for public behaviour. He says that it is difficult for him to get them to lower their voices.'
Saudi Arabia has one of the worst record's for women's rights in the world.
Women will be allowed to vote and run for office in local elections for the first time next year but are still not allowed to drive.
There are no laws on the minimum age it is legal to marry at, with father's giving their daughters a way when they are just nine years old in some cases.
Women can ride bicycles, but only in 'recreational areas' if they are wearing full Islamic body coverings and are accompanied by a male guardian.
Khalid Al Fakhri, the head of Saudi Arabia's National Society for Human Rights, said: 'These signs are against the law and reflect the personal opinions of the restaurant owners.'

A couple who retreated to their car to have sex caused a traffic jam outside Springfield, Oregon city jail on penultimate Sunday night.

Police say the couple, Kelli M. Knutson, 24, and Logan P. Jackson, 33, had attended a nearby strip club, then retreated to their car which was parked outside Oregon city jail to have sex.
Passing motorists reportedly slowed down to watch the shameless couple in action. Police said so many people stopped to watch that it caused a traffic jam.
That's when officers were called to the scene. Cops say they found the couple "actively engaged" in the car, which was rocking back and forth.
"It ended soon after [officers] knocked on the window," Springfield Police Sergeant Rich Charboneau told KVAL. "They were very cooperative."
According to the station:
The couple told officers they were too "caught up in the moment" to realize their activity had caused a line of traffic outside the Springfield Jail.

The couple were arrested on charges of indecent exposure and disorderly conduct. Charboneau said normally they'd have just been told to move along, but police were forced to act because someone complained about the traffic.
Jackson was removed from the car and escorted to the very jail he was parked outside. His companion was transported to Lane County Jail.
It could have been worse: Someone could have taken pictures.

Man who raped 5yr-old girl blamed her for it

RAPISTPRICK
Clifford Taylor

An Ohio man convicted of raping a 5-year-old girl blamed the victim for his crime during his sentencing.
Clifford Taylor, a 51-year-old former research scientist, was given the maximum sentence of 22 years on Nov. 12, the News-Herald reported.
In October, Taylor admitted in court to molesting his girlfriend's daughter while baby-sitting her sometime between May and July of last year, according to Cleveland.com. The child later told her mother, who went to authorities. Taylor was convicted on two counts of rape.
During his sentencing,  Taylor blamed his defense lawyer for suggesting the plea deal he had earlier agreed to take.
He admitted to raping the child, telling a court that he got drunk and bribed the child with Pudding Pops to perform oral sex on him.
“I did not stop the child. That’s the part the prosecutor will get me on,” he said at the time. “She wanted a snack.”
Also during his sentencing, Taylor blamed the little girl for getting raped by him. More from the News-Herald:
“It’s not true! I was told to lie to you by the man sitting right next to me,” Taylor said Nov. 12. “I don’t even remember what I told you. But it wasn’t true. The lie was that I put my penis in her mouth for Pudding Pops. My penis did get in her mouth, but I didn’t put it in there. She put it in there. She grabbed me. She was experimenting. I was drunk and realized it too late.”
Several people in the standing-room only courtroom gasped at Taylor’s claims.
The convict went on to say he was "not a monster." Lucci responded by adding two more years to his sentence.
"Even in court he blamed the victim for taking his penis in her mouth as a form of experimentation," Lucci said. "At the age of 5!”
Taylor's attorney asked the judge to be excused from representing the rapist at his future appeal hearing.

Pregnant man Thomas Beatie arrested for stalking his ex and putting GPS device on her car

Thomas Beatie (above), the transgender male who received international attention back in 2007 when he became pregnant through artificial insemination, has been arrested for stalking

The ex is most likely his former wife, Nancy Beatie, who he filed for divorce fm in 2012.
Earlier this year Thomas had accused Nancy of verbally assaulting him and his new girlfriend, Amber Nicholas.
Thomas and Nancy were married in Hawaii in 2003, and have three children, all of whom Thomas gave birth to.
A judge just granted the two the right to get divorced in August of this year, a divorce that had previously been denied as it was not viewed as legal by some courts.

Gerlach said he had no jurisdiction to approve a divorce because there's insufficient evidence that Beatie was a man when he got married. The judge said the Beaties never provided records to fully explain what Mr Beatie actually had done and not done to become a man. The ruling also noted that Mr Beatie had halted the testosterone treatments.
That all changed when Judge Kenton D. Jones said in a 12-page opinion, 'As the Beaties' Hawaii marriage was lawfully entered in Hawaii and is not deemed void by Arizona law, the marriage is valid within this state.'
Had their appeal not gone through, the couple would have been forced to go to Hawaii to get a divorce.

Lesbian attemped to rape woman and threatened her with a knife when she refused

Jesamine Hearsum

A lesbian woman beat, strangled and sexually assaulted her friend during a hour-long hostage ordeal after she refused to have sex with her.
Jesamine Hearsum, 32, stripped naked and repeatedly attacked the woman after trapping her in her home in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
Gloucester Crown Court heard yesterday that Hearsum even threatened the victim with a knife when she repeatedly refused her advances.
She later bombarded the victim with a series of texts and Facebook messages, even though she had already been arrested over the other offences.
But Hearsum was spared jail, despite pleading guilty to false imprisonment, sexual assault, assault by beating and harassment.
Judge Jamie Tabor QC sentenced Hearsum to two years prison, suspended for two years. He also imposed a three-year restraining order banning Hearsum from contacting the woman.
The defendant was also ordered to sign the sex offenders' register for 10 years.

At an earlier hearing, prosecutor Julian Kesner told the court that Hearsum had rung her friend - who had a boyfriend - in July this year because she wanted to talk about problems in her relationship.
The victim then went to Hearsum's home, before they went together to a nearby pub. Hearsum had already drunk three cans of lager and drank another pint of beer at the pub, the court was told.
The pair returned to Hearsum's home at about 9pm and went inside.
But when the victim went to use the bathroom, she noticed the front door had been locked from the inside and the key was missing.
The woman told Hearsum she had to go home, but Hearsum replied that she was 'not going anywhere'.
Mr Kesner said: 'The lady was worried and she said to the defendant that she had to go. But the defendant replied that she was not going anywhere.

'She repeatedly asked the victim to stay the night and go to bed with her. Her repeated invitations were declined.
'The defendant was acting in a bizarre way. She took all her clothes off and asked the lady for a kiss. This was again declined.'
The court heard how thing 'degenerated' after that, with Hearsum attempting to strangle the victim and punching her around the head.

He added: 'She started to strangle the victim who appears to have started to slump and lose consciousness. At that point the defendant stopped.
'The victim was in tears. The defendant put her clothes back on then attacked the victim again, grabbing her by the clothes and grabbing her breasts and undoing her jeans.
'It was during that attack that the defendant pushed her hand inside the victim's trousers and knickers.'
The court heard how the victim managed to use her phone to contact her boyfriend on Facebook, who called the police.
But Hearsum still managed to attack her victim and threaten her with a knife before officers arrived at her home.
Mr Kesner said: 'The victim succeeded in using her phone to contact her boyfriend on Facebook and asked him to call the police.
'The defendant saw her using the phone and when she knew she had called the police she started to punch her, once on the cheek and the rest on the top of the head. She stopped after a few minutes.
'She then went into the kitchen and returned with a knife with a serrated edge. She threatened the victim with it.'
When police arrived, Hearsum admitted the offences and was bailed. But she soon started sending the victim texts which - although not threatening - were harassing, the court was told.
Paul Grumbar, defending, said Hearsum was a woman who was 'emotionally immature, easily involved and easily hurt'.
But a psychiatric nurse who had assessed Hearsum told the court she did not need any mental health treatment.
Stephen Mooney, defending at the earlier hearing, said the victim had made a statement saying she did not want to see Hearsum jailed. She had been 'objective, rational and humane' towards Hearsum, he said.
Talking about the defendant, Mr Mooney said: 'She is an unsophisticated woman who lacks confidence, loves animals and clearly can offer a lot to the world. She places great store in having a loving, caring, nurturing relationship. '
He also said that the alcohol and her anti-depressant medication had combined to create a 'dreadful cocktail of events' that night.

Married men, women and politicians have sex with strangers in Indonesia to bring themselves good fortune

Back in the days people used to have sex out in the open but now there are a number of huts that people can sex in behind closed doors
Back in the days people used to have sex out in the open but now there are a number of huts that people can sex in behind closed doors
It’s one of the world’s most bizarre and best kept secrets of Indonesia.
In the world’s largest Muslim majority country, thousands of Indonesian pilgrims travel to the Gunung Kemukus, otherwise known as ‘Sex Mountain’ in Central Java, to have sex with strangers as part of a religious ritual
Dateline video journalist, Patrick Abboud, whose story is set to show on SBS, got to uncover the incredible life on top of the mountain, given unusual access to what goes on.
Mr Abboud says every 35 days you have to perform sex seven consecutive times for the ritual to work.
‘It’s a pretty bizarre story. A few years ago I read a piece about it and looked into it, it took a while to get there,’ he said.
And what he found he described as ‘incredibly surprising’.
‘More shock of the sheer size of the place and thousands of people, up to 8,000 on a busy night,’ said Mr Abboud.
‘It was hard to make sense of it, after being there it took a few weeks to digest.’

The ancient ritual dates back to the 16th century and is a regular meeting of ritual believers participating in sexual acts, with the view that it brings good luck and fortune.
From married men, housewives, government officials and prostitutes, there’s a variety of people who participate.
And for a country and religion where sex out of wedlock is taboo, Mr Abboud says the idea of a mountain top sex ritual for Muslims in Indonesia seems very strange.
‘Back in the 16th century, a young Indonesian prince had an affair with his step mother,’ he said.
‘They ran away to the mountain and had sex and mid coitus they were caught, killed and buried.
‘There is a shrine there now and because they didn’t get to finish the act, others believe that if you do, fortune will come to you, most people like poor farmers who want to get ahead in life.’
He says he saw no Westerners there but people come from all over Indonesia to see if their luck would change.
‘It’s a Javanese ritual which is very different to the Muslim world, very different to everywhere else in Indonesia, the beliefs are a blend of Islamic, Hindi and Buddhism,’ he said.
So popular the ritual has now turned into a tourist attraction for locals with the government charging people to go there, with stalls and even buskers.
‘It’s a bit of a carnival.’
‘It’s contradictory, the government knows adultery is happening yet they’re preaching something different and turning a blind eye,’ he said.
While Mr Abboud, who was fascinated by the ritual, said the only problem is that there is more men than women and in turn it has become prime territory for commercial sex workers.
He even got propositioned himself by a sex worker whilst filming but said he quickly declined the offer.
He said seeing inside doings of the religious ritual, it seems very controversial.

I think there's a growing contradiction with Sex Mountain, there's the prostitution, so how it is possible this is all being condoned by the government and religious leaders,' he said.
'The one thing is the problem of sexually transmitted diseases, there's health clinics set up at mountain.'
'I talked to a doctor and he said most sex workers have sexual diseases and men don’t use condoms, so HIV is on the up.'
The Dateline video journalist was lucky enough to follow some pilgrims to the mountain and talked to them about their experiences.
'It took a lot of convincing, as it is adulterous, I followed them, some came by boat or motorbike, from right across Indonesia and I had access to friends and people before they got there.'

Mr Abboud followed a female pilgrim called Mardiyah who was a widow and for two years had struggled financially.
Living in a small Javanese town, she had just completed her mission of having sex seven times when he was there.
'She said business become better and made more money, it's maybe proof it does work,' he said.
'I met a male pilgrim called Gepeng, and his friends but he didn't want to kiss and tell.'
'One of his friends said they went for fun and karaoke, another said he does go for the sex ritual but didn't want to say too much because he didn't want his wife to find out, but felt his life would turn around.'
He also described another pilgrim he met that also didn't want to talk too much about it in fear of his wife finding out.
'It's Incredibly hard to get women talking, obviously cheating on their husband.'
While he found the incredibly bizarre sex ritual confronting and rather 'awkward' to film and talk about, he said there was nothing unsafe or dangerous about it.
'Quite beautiful prayers, they give beautiful offerings of flowers, at the grave of shrine people get teary and pray for hours on end.'
'Never felt in any threat, it was a nice environment.'
He did however feel what needed to be mentioned is that the religion was not specific of Islam.
'It's not something to demonise the religion,' he said, 'it's not strictly Islam as we know it.'
'You'll never find any ritual like this in any part of the Muslim world and Indonesia, Javanese interpretation is much more liberal.'
